When the market is in downtrend and the prices are expected to fall, then it is called as ‘Bearish Market’. When bearish trend avails in the market then there is a sense of pessimism and insecurity among the traders and provokes them to sell their shares to minimize their loss. This worsens the condition and the market falls further. Again the downward trend is named bearish because of the attacking pattern of the bears. Experts frequently use these terms ‘bearish’ and ‘bullish’ so we must know what it means this would help us to take a call in the stock trading.

Here the stock holder will book his profit only when the price of the share goes up according to his expectation. For this type of trading doing stock analysis before taking a call is very essential. This would minimize the risk of losses and eventually help us trading successfully.

After a sustainable price rise in the market (rally), the prices show a temporary downfall of about 10%. This can be called as a reverse movement in the share prices which is usually negative, the downward trend is not as strong as the recession or bearish market. Experienced traders use market corrections for investing in shares. Market corrections can be predicted by the movement in other indices. For eg. if Nikkei has a market correction then it is most likely that Nifty or Sensex would also have market corrections.
