The place where formerly issued shares are traded is known as secondary market.

No. A share holder don’t have rights to ask refund and dividends, but he can transfer his shares to others.

SENSEX is BSE’s Index.It is the average of top 30 financially sound companies listed in the BSE.
NIFTY is NSE’S Index. It is the average of top 50 companies listed in NSE.
BSE (SENSEX) is situated in Mumbai and founded in 1986.
NSE (NIFTY) is situated in New Delhi and founded in 1995.

NSE was the first to introduce future and options (derivatives) in stock trading.
The volume and liquidity is more higher in NSE than BSE.

Share holders are the owner of the company.
A promoter is a person one who promote the company from the beginning. He may or may not be a share holder.
A Director is one who runs the company and takes important decisions like issuing dividends, shares buyback etc. He may or may not having shares.

DEMAT Account (ie., Dematerialized account) provides the facility of holding shares in electronic format. Every share holder will have a DEMAT account for the purpose of transaction.

Trading is short term view, buying and selling of shares on daily or weekly basis to get profit.

If a company collect its capital from public as a first time is called Initial Public Offer.
To apply for IPO, the company should submit its profiles and proper documents to the SEBI(Securities and Exchange Board of India)
