    Share holders are the owner of the company.

    A promoter  is a person one who promote the company from the beginning. He may or may not be a share holder.

    A Director is one who runs the company and takes important decisions like issuing dividends, shares buyback etc. He may or may not having shares.

    share holders hold Equity shares of the company also a part owner, but he does not have rights in running operations of the company.

    promoters promotes or advertise the business and convince people in to buying shares

    Director is not the owner but the manager who runs the operations of the company and hence take crucial decision in running the company

    Promoter-is the one who promotes the company for bringing in capital needed not necessarily be the owner

    Director- is the one in management group of a private or public ltd company he may or maynot be actively involved in running the company

    Share holders own one or more equity shares of the company. They are entitled to receive bonus,dividends etc. All the shares owned by them can be traded in the secondary market only

    A Promoter is the person who understands the business of the company and is responsible for bringing in the required capital for business operations. He encourages public to invest in the company through IPO.

    A Director is one who runs the company and takes important decisions. He works like a regular employee.
