    The promoter is the one who promotes the company from the beginning.

    Director is the one who has the authority to take decisions and control the operations of the company.

    A shareholder is someone who owns one or more shares of the company. He is entitled to sell his share, get dividends and bonuses.

    A promoter is a person who encourages people to invest in the company. He performs the formal work necessary before an IPO can be given.

    A director is an employee of the company who has the right to make decisions for the company.

    A Shareholder is one who holds one or more equity shares of a company. A shareholder is a part owner of a company.

    A Promoter is one who explains the business model and convince the public to invest in the company. A promoter may or may not be a share holder.

    A Director is one who runs the company and take crucial decisions like issuing dividends, shares buyback etc… A director is a sort of employee to the company.
