investments demands less activity and also it takes long periods for closing our positions . but trading is done with lesser period of time frame . It can be intraday , swing or positional also .

IPO stands for intial public offering . when companies meet public for raising funds for the first time through security exchanges for their business is called as IPO . we have to fill up the forms with details about number of shares ( usually in lots ) and attach DD and sent to the companies .

we need stock market to sell or buy company`s share stocks that we are holding , if we do not have this market we wont be able to covert our share holdings to money , money to shares . we can buy and sell equity shares or future contracts or options through stock market .
