Investing is to gradually build wealth over an extended period of time through the buying and holding of a portfolio of stocks

Trading, on the other hand, involves the more frequent buying and selling of stock, with the goal of generating returns through buy-and-hold investing

Investment is if you are buying a stock after doing proper fundamental research on the company( profits, debt and growth potential )

If we are buying the stock based on the charts, then it is called trading.

Both Investment and Trading are aimed at making profits in the financial markets.

Investment is one where the profit is accumulated over a very long period of time. It involves very few trading activities. It is usually based on the Fundamental Analysis of a company.

Trading is one which involves frequent buying and selling of shares. It is based on the Technical Analysis of a company.

Investment is done with a long term view , buying the shares and keeping them for a long term to get profit.

Trading is short term view, buying and selling of shares on daily or weekly basis to get profit.
