Yes it is possible to buy stocks from BSE and sell it in NSE, provided the company is registered in both the exchanges. Intraday trading however is not possible, as the position needs to be closed on the same day with the same exchange and same broker

To place order one needs to have a Demat account registered with the exchange through a brokerage firm.
Different types of order are Buy(long position) and Sell(Short position) order.
When we buy shares through cash, the shares get credited in out Demat Account. This is called long position and is generally done with investment perspective.

Secondary Market – This is the place where actual trading happens. People can buy and sell shares from existing owners, trade contracts, commodities and currencies through NSE and BSE

It is a Depository which hold shareholders share in digitized form.

SEBI stands for Securities and Exchange Board of India.
It is a regulatory body which frames the rules and regulations for the Stock Exchange. It is also protects the rights of the investors.
It is similar to RBI which deals with currencies.

Investment is buying shares and holding it for a long period of time. The shares get credited in our demat account
Trading is buying and selling shares for a short period of time. This is generally done in Futures & Options. We dont own the asset/shares here.
