    IPO – Initial Public Offer

IPO is the process in which a company issues its shares to the public for the first time in order to raise capital. By doing this, the company shares its ownership among the shareholders. This usually takes place in the Primary Market.

A company has to get SEBI’s consent by providing necessary documents and advertise about its public offer.
