Spot market means the cash payment is immediate and the deal is closed immediately.

The deal doesnt get executed till the price reaches the quoted price. The deal gets executed for people who quoted lower price.

Buying the shares for lower price and selling when the price increases is long. The position after the buying is called long position. The selling to complete is called long unwinding. Selling the shares and buying back is called short. The position after selling is called short position. The buyback of shares is called short covering.

It is possible to buy the stocks in BSE and sell it on NSE provided both the company and broker have been registered on both the stock exchanges.

Stock exchange collects caution deposit from brokers who in turn collect caution deposit from their clients. And if something goes wrong the stock exchange deducts money from the brokers caution deposit. And additionally some penalty is also charged depending upon the default.

Positional trading is holding the share for more than one day and selling it to make money.
Intraday trading is selling the share on the same day to make money.
