We need to do analysis to trade with knowledge and discipline. Otherwise stock trading becomes gambling

The average turnover of NSE is 3 – 10 lakh crores. Stock prices cannot be manipulated by retail traders. Strong hands may have a hand in price movements.

Demand and Supply drives the stock price. Price changes very often based on buyers and sellers action in the market. If buyers are strong prices will increase. if sellers are strong price will decrease

Pros: Technical analysis is based on Market Action. The information for technical analysis is easily available to retail traders. This is based on price and volume.
Cons: The market is highly unpredictable. hence sometimes the technical analysis may have undesired results.

Technical analysis is based on Market action. This gives Demand and supply of a particular stock. The major keyfactors are price and volume.

Penny stocks are stocks whose market price and market capitilization is low. The price movements in these stocks may not be genuine and its very tough to analyse these stocks since volume traded may not be enough. These stocks are not traded by big hands.

Long position: Buying a share now and selling it later expecting the share price to go up
Short position: Selling a share now and buying it later expecting the share price to go down
Long unwinding : Selling the shares and closing the long position
Short covering : Buying shares before trading day to cover short position
