Stock market acts a hub for buyers and sellers of company stocks to trade stocks. Without a stock market retail buyers will have to contact the company directly.

since a shareholder can not ask for their money back not even profits so the only way to get money is to trade his certificate for money now there are many people who are ready to buy and sell the certificates so there must be a place where such people can meet and trade off and that’s where the stock market comes into the picture

The purpose of it is to enable the Retail traders to buy and sell company shares without much difficulty.
