IPO means Initial Public Offering. A company who wants to expand the business or who wants to start a new business but does not have enough capital can go for IPO. They are required to propose a business model to the general public and interested people can invest in the same by applying for Shares. Application of shares can be done for the period of 3 days. Once the shares are applied, the company will allocate the shares. Shares allotted to people are the shareholders of the comapny.

IPO refers to Initial Public Offer. IPO is a way of creating capital(generally huge capital)  for the company by inviting the public to invest in their business if they believe in their business model.

As an investor we can apply to the company on the price quoted by the company (in units) and the company has the right to allocate the units based on our application.
