Technical indicators are readily available calculated values that can be used as a guide in making trading decisions. It is different from other analysis as most of the data is readily available and automated. However we should not make mechanical decisions based on these indicator although they can be used as additional information before making a trading plan and decision.

Technical indicators are algorithmic indicators whose value is derived from past price movements of a stock. It is an ready-made analysis.

Technical indicators look to predict the future price levels, or simply the general price direction, of a stock by looking at past patterns.

Unlike analysis, Technical indicators do not analyze any part of the fundamental business, like earnings, revenue and profit margins. Technical indicators are used most extensively by active traders in the market, as they are designed primarily for analyzing short-term price movements.
