Positional analytical method is a bottom top approach where the stocks are picked and then analysed based on the past data. Which is a time consuming task compared to the intraday which is a top bottom approach by identifying the best performing stocks based on the market sentiment which needs a quick decision.

Intraday analysis is done to make profit by buying/selling the stock on the same day. It follows top to bottom approach to identify the stocks based on the market sentiment.
Positional analysis is done to hold the stock for a while which requires a detailed analysis based on the demand & supply and characteristics of the price pattern.

Moving average is an indicator based on the price movement over the period of 21 days. Its a smooth curve line overlayed on the chart to easily identify the trend with respect to this indicator.
This works well with trending zone.

RSI stands for Relative strength index.
It generally works best for the non-tending zone. It has two marks – 70 & 30.
If the price goes above 70 and dips below it, then go short.
If the price goes below 30 and progress above it, then go long. -

Technical indicators are the algorithmic tool derived based on the price movements.
Its a supportive tool for the traders to confirm the direction of price movement. its not for the decision making.
