Basics of stock market:
A company may need more capital which it cannot acquire by itself. So, these extra capital can be shared by public. Hence a company give IPO through stock market to the public. The public buys and sells the shares through stock exchange.
There are currently two stock exchanges in India. They are Bombay stock exchange and National stock exchange. SEBI is the regulatory board which regulates the actions of stock exchanges.
