How stock price affect monetary aspects of the company?
Stock price may not impact the performance of the company, but the performance of the company may influence the minds of traders (buyers and sellers), hence the stock price is driven by company performance.
However, the share price may have indirect impact in the company performance ( Loan, Goodwill etc)
How stock exchanges ensure the traders counter party risk?
Counter part risk is nothing but the non payment / not delivered share to the counter part. Although it was the failure of trader, exchange remain responsible for settlement to the parties.
Exchange can handle this risk by using the caution deposited by the respective (default client) broker.
