    I think is not a bearish engulfing since there is no uptrend for the past day. Can you please help to understand the same

    The Bearish Engulfing Candlestick Pattern is considered to be a bearish reversal pattern which is usually occurring at the top of an uptrend. Here the prior trend is already in a downtrend so, it doesn’t act as a bearish engulfing.
