    1. Shareholder is the owner of the company. He has all the rights to buy/sell or transfer his shares to other, he may not necessarily run the business.

    2. Promoter is the one who promotes the business. He is the one who helps the business to raise capital.

    3. Director is the person jointly elected by the shareholders to run the business.

    Share Holder:-

    A person/company owns at least one share of a company’s stock is called share holder.

    Promoter:-

    A person/company who initiate the business is called promoter.

    Director:-

    An appointed member of the company who has the responsibility of implementing company’s policy is called Director.

    Promoters are who intiated the business, need not be current owner of the company.

    Directors are Management representative ,appointed by the Board members to mange the company activities very effectively

    Shareholder – One of the owners of the company. Their role is to elect Board of Directors of the company. They have rights in profit made by the company.                               They cant give back the share to the company instead they can exchange their shares for cash to buyers in the stock market. They do not                                     involve in the day-to-day-operations of the company

    Promoter – He is the one who promote the business to the public to attract investments from the start of the company. He may have shares in the                                   company which he can trade in stock market whenever he want.

    Director   – He is one who manages the company. Taking key decision on the company’s growth which brings profit to the company.

    He may have shares with the company. He was elected by shareholders of the company.
