Who are share holder, promoter, and director? What is the role and rights of them?

Share Holder: The one who owns the shares of the company either through IPO or through Secondary Markets. He is considered as one of the owners of the company.

 

Promoter: The one who promotes the idea to start the business of the company.

 

Director: The one who is running and taking care of the company. He is not the owner of the company, but in most of the cases, Directors do have some shares of the company he is working with.

Share holder – Share some capital of his own money in a particular company. He will become a share holder.

Promoter – Once promoting in particular company . He will become a promoter .

Director – Captain of particular company , to run the company belongs to him .

The Promoter is the individual who promotes the company initially.

The Director is the individual who governs the operations , policies , profits and loss of the company .
