to determine market trend using dow theory we need approximately 2 years line chart.in this we find tops and bottoms and mark as higher tops and hight bottoms as well as lower top and lower bottoms.higher top and higher bottom is indication of bullish trend.and lower top and lower bottom indicates bearish trend.
