Fundamental analysis is used typically by the buy and hold investors. It involves looking at revenue, expenses, assets, liabilities and all other financial aspects of a company.

Fundamental analysis is to study the company in details for long term investment, considering various parameters like Revenue, profit/loss, loans, growth plan, assets, quality, competitors, policies and plans, management etc. Some of them will be quantitative and some of the parameters will be qualitative.
