Every share traded in stock market should go through phase of Primary market. Primary market is the one where shares are issued to the public by the company with the intention of raising capital funds through the process of IPO. Secondary market is one where the shares bought in primary market are traded among sellers and buyers under speculation.

The abbreviation of DEMAT account is De-materialised account. DEMAT account which means the way in which a bank keeps money in a deposit account in the same way the Depository company can converts share certificates in to electronic form and keep them into a DEMAT account.
