If its a long position then it is not mandate but wont count as intraday trading if held for more than a day and other analysis should be used.
Whereas for short position, it should be covered within that day itself because settlement for the shares we sold takes place at the end of the day and hence shares must be bought before the day closes so…[Read more]

These are used in addition to TA and can help only in increasing accuracy of the decision made using TA, and it cannot be solely used.

Moving average is the average of closing prices of stock for defined period, usually for 21 days. Moving average is a trending pattern indicator and will be useful in trending patterns and will not be useful in sideways movement. Prices above the average indicates bullish trend and below indicates bearish trend.

Based on the phase at which it appears and the trend that follows.
The four types are Area gap, Breakout gap, Runaway gap and Exhaustion gap.
