Doji means neutral and looks like a star. Doji occurring with a good volume indicates a trend reversal, ie, bullish trend becomes bearish and vice versa. Hence Doji is used to study trend changes in the market.

Two equivalent tops occurring in a span of atleast 20 days or so indicates a bearish trend once it decreases below the previous lower bottom with good volume.

Three bottoms with the middle bottom being the lowest bottom also with good volume in the left bottom. Each spans close to a month or so, and hence total period of three months for this pattern to form and it indicates a bullish trend after the right bottom exceeds the previous high.

Looks like a head flanked by shoulder and hence the name. Duration should be a month for each, so three months in total, with head being the highest top achieved compared to previous few tops and good volume during the left shoulder. This pattern indicates a bearish trend after the right shoulder.

When two equivalent bottoms are formed for a period more than 20 days then a bullish trend is expected when it exceeds the previous top with good volume. More the duration, stronger the pattern and long position is to be considered after exceed the previous top.

A steeper pole with a sideway trend for a week (4-7 days) and a breakout or breakdown constitutes a flag. Breakout or breakdown is with a good volume and indicates buy or sell position.
