Why do we need to close the intraday position on the same day? Is it mandate?

In the case of ” long” we can go for positional trading , but in the case of “short ”  we must close on that day itself, otherwise ,T+2 will affect us. it is mandatory.

Yes,it is mandate to close the intraday position because stock was analysed for that day only.

Analysis does not help to hold the stock for nextday.

Its mandatory to close intraday treading within the same day. If not then penalty from exchange will be levied.
