Why do we need to close the intraday position on the same day? Is it mandate?

Yes it is Mandatory to close the Intraday Position on the same day.

The word itself says that intraday analysis. We have to take decision on the same day before closing of market.

While creating short position we have to close the trade and exit the position within  that day.

For in long position we have to exit within that day then only it is intraday analysis. If you waited for some more days to exit, then it is said to be positional analysis.

• Yes intraday position should be squareoff in the same day.
• Wheather it is a long or short position it should be square off in same day and delivery is not taken in this intraday.only setoff of accountq takes place.
• All this are mandatory by the SEBI.
