Inorder to avoid the penalities it should be closed in the same day YES, it is mandated..
we need to close the intra day position on the same day because this share is made to close on the trading day itself.,intraday means IN TRADING DAY.,,it is mandate or else we will be penalise for not closing.,
as the settlement has to be done on the same day , intraday position needs to closed on the same day and it is mandate
If the trader takes long position then it is not mandatory to close the position at the same time if there is short position then it is mandatory to close the position.
