    IPO stands for INITIAL PUBLIC OFFERING, where a company goes public to raise capital.

    To apply for IPO a form has to be filled which can be acquired from any reputed stock broker or an investor or even from banks. After filling in the form the have to be submitted along with the amount i.e., calculating with the number of shares that you have applied for. If you have a demat a/c you can apply for the shares through that a/c also.

    Initial Public Offering means a company going to public for collecting capital.

    Against the prior approval from SEBI company can advertise and raise the capital from the public. Company has to issue the share certificates for the shares traded.

    IPO is the Initial Public Offer of a company who for the first time list in the market to attract public investments.

    A company should apply to SEBI for listing as IPO.
