What is intraday analysis? How it is different from positional analysis

Intraday trading involves buying and selling of the stocks within the same day and it is mandatory to close positions before the market closes.

It differs from positional analysis in the duration for which the stock is held. Stocks are held for longer duration in positional trading. Also, not much technical analysis is required in intraday trading unlike in positional.

In intraday analysis after analysing  the intraday  parameters ( market direction, FII activity, market breadth ) stocks are selected to trade.

But in positional analysis first stock selection is made and then it is analysed using technical analysis to trade it or not.

Intraday analysis is done based on parameters like market direction, FII Activity and market breadth.  With the help of these parameters we select stocks to buy or sell. And we have to exit the position within the same day. It doesn’t need any technical analysis.  Without knowing the basic knowledge anyone can easily trade in intraday analysis only thing he/she has to identify the parameters.

Where as in positional analysis we have to select the stock based on technical analysis. Person who is able to do technical analysis only can able to do positional analysis. And it is difficult from intraday analysis.
