Gap is named according to the phase in which the gap is located , based on trending or non trending.

Gap in a non trending range is called area gap. ( demand zone = supply zone)

Gap breaks the non trending range and begins a new trend is called breakout gap. (demand zone > supply zone)

Gap after the breakout gap is called runaway gap. signifies (buyers>sellers)

In the trending zone ,we observe an opening in the beginning of the day but by end of the day , the gap is filled. this is exhaustion gap. It signifies end of phase.
