The stock market is the place where the buyers and sellers gather to trade the stock/shares. where as shares are units of ownership in the company. the stock market is a secondary market which is driven by supply and demand of the stocks.In India SEBI is the ultimate authority which regulates and monitors the stock market functions and it protects the interests of the investors. National Stock Exchange (NSE) is used by majority of the stock traders in India. The exchange is responsible for all the trading activities happening with them. The stock traders have to make trading only through the SEBI registered brokers in the exchange to ensure proper trading.
