Stock trading is regulated by SEBI. buyers and sellers place their orders through brokers to NSE and BSE and the order gets executed in t+2 days. it is possible to buy and sell stocks from different exchanges with some limitation. there are different types of trading postional and intraday trading and also different positions of trading long / short / long unwinding / short covering.
