The technical Indicators are only indicators. Examples of common technical indicators include Relative Strength Index and Moving Average. They are only indicators and in a short term. It is only a supporting factor and not a decision maker. It is ready-made analysis. these have to be used in combination with other analysing tools. Some of them are Trending indicators and some are non-trending indicators.
Moving Average: Open chart and apply moving average. this will give a smooth curve and easier to study. This is a way of finding equilibrium. it works like a magnet. however at this point it will either attract or repel as price cannot remain at equilibrium for long. Price above and below the moving average curve get attracted to this level. You can study the moving average for any period like 14 days, month etc.Trend is positive or bullish if it is above the moving average line and bearish or negative if it is below the average line.It is not effective during sideways movement.
The relative strength index (RSI) is a momentum indicator, that compares the magnitude of recent gains and losses over a specified time period to measure speed and change of price movements of a security. It is primarily used to attempt to identify overbought or oversold conditions in the trading. Interpretation and usage of the RSI is that RSI values of 70 or above indicate that a security is becoming overbought or overvalued, and therefore may be primed for a trend reversal or corrective pullback in price. On the other side of RSI values, an RSI reading of 30 or below is commonly interpreted as indicating an oversold or undervalued condition that may signal a trend change or corrective price reversal to the upside.
