IPO is Initial Public Offer. When for first time if the person need huge capital to start business and issues the share to public then it is IPO. In IPO promoter first advertise about his company to public and to buy his shares and then public buy shares and have rights to the dividend. Once he receives capital then he starts business.

Share holder is one who owns share(s) of a company and they have right to sell and buy those shares and also have rights on the dividend on the no. of shares they own.
Promoter is the person who promoted the company, who initiated it. He may not necessarily have major shares of his company and be one of the board of directors of the company.…[Read more]
