if the support and resistance level keeps shrinking and if we draw a trend line over the major tops and bottoms and if the pattern forms a triangle, then we may expect a major breakout in either way.

After a huge increase in the stock price on a single day and if the stock consolidates around that range for 3-7 days then we can expect more uptrend to continue.

after a downtrend if two equivalent bottoms are formed, and the stock moves up after hitting the second bottom, then a double bottom indicates a trend reversal on the upside. Volumes should be high during this period.

You buy into when the stock crosses a major resistance on the upside and sell if it crosses the resistance on the downside after formation of the pattern on the charts.

After a good uptrend if a stock hits a high and retraces back and again tries to cross that high but not successful and again falls down then we can assume that there is a short-term trend reversal.

Entry price – once the price goes below the bottom of the head and shoulder you short the stock.
Exit price – it is the proportionate value of the shoulder price range on the downside,
Stop Loss – It is above the shoulder.

After a downward correction if the chart forms a pattern in the shape of a two shoulder and a head in an inverted way. The right shoulder will have good volumes and the left shoulder will have less volume. One it crosses the tops of the inverted head and shoulder you can go long in the stock.

after a good uptrend if the charts form a pattern in the shape of the head with two shoulders then it means that more likely the trend will reverse. Generally the right shoulder will have good volume and the left shoulder will have less volume.

A cup pattern is an accumulation pattern over a long period of time. Over this period the stock basically trades in a narrow trading range. Strong hands start accumulating slowly during this time.

Supprot is a price point where people feel comfortable buying. At this price point buyers are more than sellers thereby increasing the stock price.
Resistance is a price where more sellers come to play. Here sellers are more than buyers.

If the chart pattern is making higher top and higher bottom, then the trend is up.
Similarly if a chart is making lower top and lower bottom then the trend is down.
The trend period is 2 years.

Dow theory is for a long term bet. It do not take into account short term volatility and trend reversal.
Dow theory is the basis from where all the other theory is formed.

Average turnover for NSE IS 3 – 5 Lakh crore. It is difficult to manipulate stock with high institutional and highly traded stoclk. But low volume stock can be easily manipulated.
