Long – a buy order where there is no previous open position of that stock.
Short – a sell order even without owning stock and there is not previous open position.
Long unwinding – A sell order that balances the buy order placed earlier
Short covering – a buy order that balances the sell order placed earlier.

Share holder cannot ask for refund. He can opt out of the company by selling his shares. When Dividend is declared by the company board then the shareholder has the right receive dividend.
