Gap is named based on the place where it occurs.
The four types of GAP are
Area gap
Breakout gap
Runaway gap
Exhaustion gap.

When the current open price is not the same as the previous close then a GAP forms.
Gap up occurs when the current open price is greater than the previous close.
Gap down occurs when the current open price is lower than the previous close.

Doji looks like like a cross or plus. Doji appears when the opening and closing price are almost equal. DOJI signifies that the bulls and bears are at equal position. Doji indicates a trend reversal if accompanied by high volume.

Piercing pattern is a trend reversal pattern.

Two equivalent bottoms are formed within a period of 20 days. Bullish trend is identified when a high volume is seen either in 2nd bottom or at the break down point.
