Engulfing pattern is a candlestick pattern
1. Negative trend.
2. Current green body covers the previous day’s red body completely.

Head and shoulder is a distribution pattern that should take at least 3 months to form. Once the price falls below the neckline a short position can be assumed.

Two equivalent bottoms separated by atleast 20 days. Long position assumed when price clears the previous high. The volume should be high at the second bottom or the breakout point.

Double top is a price pattern where you find two equivalent heads separated by atleast a month. The volume should be high at the second top or when it breaks the previous bottom. Short position is assumed.

The entry price is when price breaks the neck line.
Stop gap is the height of the right shoulder.
The exit price is same amount as the stop gap.

Flag is a price pattern.
1. Open candle stick charts.
2. The leading pole must be steep 70-80 degrees.
3. The rectangular region should stay for min 3 – 7 days.
4.The volume should be low during the rectangular region.
5. Volume should be high when breaking out.
6. Flag should not droop.

The entry price is when it breaks out of the rectangular area. The stop loss is the bottom of the rectangle and exit price is same as stop loss

Cup pattern is an accumulation pattern through a few months or even years.
1. The pattern should be visible as a round bottomed cup.
2. Must take months or even years to form.
3. The volume should be low at the round bottom.
4. The market co-relation should be minimum.

Triangle pattern is a price pattern which can be identified as following:
1. It should form A-B-C-D-E where A,C & E are bottoms and B & D are tops.

1. Open daily line charts for 2 years.
2. Identify major tops and bottoms.
3. Mark them as HT / LT and LT/LB.
4. Find if there is HB-HT or LT-LB pattern.
5. If price breaks previous top or bottom with high volume, create long or short position respectively
