The inverted head and shoulder indicates that the stronger hands are buying the stocks. If the volume in the left shoulder is high and the right shoulder exceeds the breakaway point above the neck line then it will be the indication of bullish trend.

Two equivalent tops in a line chart (within 1-2 months time period) in which volume is high is an indication to create short position.

Minimum look up period = 2 Years

It just gives the trend and also not useful for the intraday market. But this theory is considered as one of the base theory for many other analytical methods.
