Rounding cup pattern is a sign of accumulation where the price of a stock is generally at its very low.
Conditions –
1. Cup pattern takes a long time to form.

Dow theory is used to see the demand vs supply from a longer duration which close to 2 year.
Price pattern can be used to understand the future direction of the price movement based on short term analysis of demand vs supply.

1 Two equivalent tops/not necessary to be of the exact height
2. Minimum of 20 days duration between both the tops.

Signs of Buy – To buy when the price is actually cutting the previous high price created within the pattern.
Signs of sell – To sell or create short position when price is actually cutting the previous low formed within the pattern

Inverted head and shoulder is a sign of accumulation by the stronger hands.
Conditions should be similar to head and shoulder distribution pattern and instead of short position we create long positions.

Head and should is a distribution pattern/accumulation pattern.
Conditions –
1. Identify shoulder – head – shoulder
2.Duration for the above pattern to form to be minimum three months.
3.Volume at First shoulder to be the high.
4.Head to be highest than First shoulder.
5.Volume at last shoulder to be the lowest.

Dow theory helps out investors from a long term perspective. Forecast duration is 3 months which restricts a trader from doing further analysis froma short term perspective.
