Intraday analysis is the analysis done for short term price movements within a day whereas positional analysis involves following the market for a long period of time such as days, weeks and months.

Positional analytical methods are meant for long duration which require following the market for a certain period of time, planing the strategies and acting accordingly. But in intraday trading, stocks are bought and sold within a day and hence positional analysis cant be used here.

It is necessary to close the intraday position in the case of short because it ends up in a penalty if the stocks sold by short position were not bought back within the same day.
It is not mandatory in the case of long position. But doing so helps to avoid overnight risks.

The key Fibonacci ratio of 61.8% is called as the Golden Mean. It is obtained by dividing one number in the Fibonacci series by the number that follows it. For eg., 8/13 = 0.6153, 55/89 = 0.6189 etc.

Fibonacci Retracement is created by taking two extreme points ( a major perk and a trough ) on a stock chart and dividing the vertical distance by the key Fibonacci ratios of 23.6%, 38.2%, 50%, 61.8% and 100%. These key Fibonacci ratios are identified as the support and resistance zones.

RSI ( Relative Strength Indicator ) is a momentum indicator which uses the magnitude of gains and losses over a period of time to identify the overbought and oversold conditions of a stock. The buying zone is identified as the oversold zone which occurs when the RSI falls below 30.

- The latest green body should cover the previous day’s lowest price.
- The latest green body should cover at least 50% of the previous day’s candle.
- The upper tail should be small.
