Buy when higher top exceeds recent higher top with high volume (Bullish trend).
Sell when lower bottom decreases below recent lower bottom with high volume(Bearish trend).

Consider approximately 2 years data, Mark higher top and bottom similarly lower top and lower bottom.
Buy when bullish trend exceeds recent higher top with high volume.
Sell when bearish trend decreases recent lower bottom with high volume.

Line charts are used(to mark Higher top and bottom similarly lower tops and bottom).
Duration recommended is approximately 2 years.

Support:- During fall or bearish trend at certain point the trend reversal takes place i.e. due to more demand bearish becomes bullish and price moves upward.
Resistance:- During rally or bullish trend at certain point the trend reversal takes place i.e. due to more supply bullish becomes bearish and the price goes down.

Criticism:- Requires large amount of data(Ex. 2 years), applicable for long term investment i.e. 2-3 months and not for intraday, only market trend can be determined.
Reason for being standard choice for analysis :- Most of the methods are derived from dow, it is proven from a century and its success ratio is more than 50%.

Approximate 2 lakh crores. Manipulation is possible but not for long. since the possibility is 1 or 2 days so it is negligible and it can be done only by big shots.
