Stock market is a place where buyers and Sellers get connected and exchange their shares. Shares are the products sold in stock market.

There are two kinds of markets where shares can be bought (Primary and Secondary). IPO is primary market and Stock trading is in Secondary market.

Face Value is the Equal, Nominal denomination for every share in a company. All shares have the same face value.

Public can invest in a company by buying their equity and become co-owners. However they cannot ask for a refund or dividend, Instead if they need money they can sell their share in the Stock Market and transfer it to another buyer.

NSE and BSE are the two exchanges in India, NIFTY is the NSE’s Average Index of top 50 actively traded companies in NSE.

SENSEX is the Average Index of top 30 actively traded companies in BSE
