Stock Market is a medium to exchange stock and securities. SEBI regulates the activities of stock exchange.
We have two types of markets in Stock market. In primary market, investors buy securities directly from the company, while in the secondary market, investors trade securities among themselves.
The prices in the primary market are fixed while the prices vary in the secondary market depending upon the demand and supply of the securities traded.
SENSEX is a figure indicating the relative prices of shares on the Bombay Stock Exchange(BSE). Sensex which is constructed using 30 actively traded stocks in the BSE.
Nifty is a major stock index in India introduced by the National stock exchange. Nifty is calculated on 50 stocks actively traded in the NSE. 50 top stocks are selected from 24 sectors.
