Share Market is the place where buyers and sellers meet to transact. It is called stock exchange. Shares are traded on BSE & NSE(most popular). Each Share in a company has a common face value to maintain equality (equity). Dividend, Bonus, etc don’t matter much except temporary volatility due to excitement on those days. Splitting of shares also results in increased volatility over a period of time. Transparency and honoring commitment is crucial as transactions happen too fast and in huge numbers. SEBI, the regulator has clearly defined the role of exchanges, brokers and the market participants. Each one is aware of Risk and Potential Return. Stock Market is a place to generate long term wealth and also make / incur short term or instant profits or losses.
