Stock Market is all about investing and trading a companies shares to increase its capital amount to give an extensively output products.so the company comes to public through advertising for entering into stock trading as Initial Public Offering.so the public can come to know about share to invest and trade. IN order to public or institution to buy or sell a share a platform or exchange is needed where buyers and sellers can come to know about the prize of stock and it is done by Exchange board in india there are two
1. National Stock exchange
2. Bombay Stock Exchange
the companies list their price in both exchanges in india. But normally NSE is been widely used, its due to varieties of market trading given by them like Equity ,commodity Futures and Option market whereas in BSE only equity is available. The exchange board is been regulated by SEBI which provides transparency and guidance also regulations to companies and public. once a company met SEBI requirement it can enter Exchange board and for investors and traders. Investors and Traders account management is done through broker and guided by CDSL to exchange shares price by providing a DEMAT account to the Investors or traders.
