Hi P.P.Lakshminarayana. For piercing the green candle should start way below the red one and the top tail of the green one should be very small. The closing of the green candle should be above 50% of the previous red one and it should not be higher than the red candle.

I may also be wrong, please correct me if I am. So that we can get clarified.
