This just basic of share market where we understand what is share market how its work and how its different from other markets. How companies issue share in public through IPO to get a huge amount of capital. Once money collected through IPO then company promoters, director use this money for their business. When company earns profit then this profit is divided among shareholders which is called dividend. In case shareholder want money back they cannot ask for money back but they can exchange their shares in secondary market. This secondary market is just nothing but share market where shares are exchange for settlement.
