Introduction to stock market

Stock market is the place where buyers and sellers meet to buy/sell share.stock exchange provides the platform for the buyers and sellers to trade. SEBI is the controller of the markets,they protect the interest of the investors/traders.Primarily there are 2 stock exchanges in India,BSE and NSE. shares can be traded only here with the help of stock brokers who acts as an intermediary to the traders and stock exchange.Trading is different from Investment,as the trader is interested in making use of price fluctuations prevailing in the market,while investor holds the share for a long term benefit,like an assest.
