A stock market is a place where the exchange of shares takes place. There are two stock exchanges in India namely NSE and BSE with index NIFTY and SENSEX respectively. The SEBI is the regulator for the securities market in India. In order for a company to be listed in any of the exchanges they have to go through the process of IPO. Once they satisfy all the required criteria then they will be listed in the exchange for trading. Fundamental analysis is the tool used to pock stocks for long term investing and technical analysis is the tool used for short term trading.
